Please remember The Langoliers
I can't remember that much about this Stephen King novel-turned-TV movie. All I really remember is an empty airport in an empty desert with no sound and no nothing. And then these silver spiky Pac-Men chew through the ground and through time. That's it.

please remember "the sign" by ace of base
I guess as a 10-year-old I wouldn't realize how utterly ridiculous this song and its video are. Seriously, there is an actual "sign" floating around the video that is a little too similar to that symbol Prince started going by that one time. What does this sign mean? Is it a character in some alphabet? Some sort of glyph meaning "break up with your significant other, now"? Either way, this song was a very important part of pop culture in my fourth grade class.
While we're at it, why don't we just remember Ace of Base's entire career, which must have lasted all of six months. There were other big ones, like "Don't Turn Around" (which was so powerful to me) and "All That She Wants" (which I thought was talking about a literal baby, like she just wants to have another baby and then she'll be out). I remember listening to my Ace of Base tape on a car trip once (which was apparently titled Happy Nation??), and my older brother told me that it wasn't even music, it was just a bunch of repetitive synthesized beats. Well, that may be true, but it sure is catchy. I played at least two Ace of Base songs at a recent dance party that were very well received. Speaking of partying, that concert video of "All That She Wants" makes me wish I could see them live, because par-ty!

please remember jergens original scent lotion
The delightful cherry almond smell of Jergens lotion will always remind me of my grandma and I think my mom too. It really smells so good and sweet. My sister tried to tell me the generic brand was just the same, but I doubt that. I bought a big pump bottle of it the other night and I swear it's already paid for itself.
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks about this.
UPDATE
I just read the label on the bottle and look what it says!

please remember "we are the world"
How could we forget USA for Africa's super-collaboration charity hit? There are so many stars on this roster that I can't even begin to name them. And anyway, you have to watch the video to get the full effect of all the charity.
The YouTube description sums it up pretty well:

please remember the 49th street galleria
I mostly remember the exterior architecture of this Murray, Utah wonderland. It was like a futuristic, space-age castle. Inside it had everything a family entertainment center could need: rides, go-karts, air hockey, a bowling alley, skating, miniature golf, some sort of baseball, and probably way more that I can't think of. I remember it being so big and so cool that figured I could never fully utilize all it had to offer. I guess that came true, because now it's a huge buffet.
I also remember wanting desperately to go a Crystal Gale concert there because it was happening exactly on my fourth or fifth birthday, but then again that may have had nothing to do with the 49th Street Galleria.

please remember "everlasting love" by howard jones
Since we're talking late 80s/early 90s music videos: I apparently did not realize this video was SO funny the last time I watched it, which was at the age of five.
please remember the fine young cannibals' one hit
Please remember how awesome the video is and how British the teeth are.

please remember abba's christmas super-megamix
Technically my remembrance of this could only last a few hours so far, since the first time I heard it was today. But it's worth the seven or so minutes of mega-Christmas to hear them try to say "figgy pudding" with their Swedish mouths.
I can't find it online so you will just have to trust me.

please remember rockapella
How does it feel to be a group of Brown alumni singing a cappella on a street corner? Probably pretty great once you move on to Folger's coffee commercials. But we best remember them as the resident beat-boxers of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? I can't imagine the show being nearly as gripping without a theme song that is one of the most well-known in television history, according to the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Unfortunately, nostalgia doesn't make me hate a cappella music any less, and neither does geography.

please remember brand new and taking back sunday
Thanks to Brand New recently coming through town, around here we've renewed our interest in the music we listened to from 2002 through 2004. I'll be the first to say it prompted me to find all my Taking Back Sunday CDs and rip them onto my computer. So nostalgic, so emo(tional).
So, Brand New, I'm sorry you aren't headlining your tours any more. You deserve better. And Taking Back Sunday, I guess you just released a new album? Heck if I know. What I'm saying is that I hope you two got over your feud with each other and also thank you for the memories. And for giving us something to shout to. Even us mild-mannered young girls.

please remember "be somebody (or be somebody's fool)"
Mr. T staged this informative production in 1984 that offers great social advice for kids on topics such as shyness, frustration, styling, daydreaming, and roots. One of my favorites is the segment on respecting one's mother. Thank goodness we had Mr. T to guide us through those awkward years. Even though I didn't see this movie until 2005.

please remember ghost
What a great flick. The part I remember best is when the bad guy dies and the evil angels come up from hell to devour his soul or whatever. That happens, right?

please remember kids incorporated
Kids Incorporated gave us Scott Wolf, Mario Lopez, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Shanice, Martika, Fergie, and David Hasselhoff's singing career.
They were my idols. They are still my idols.
